Janine Mason, M.A., Executive Director (Contact Janine)
Janine is the Executive Director of the Fieldstone Foundation. In this role she is responsible for the overall management of the Foundation’s giving and leadership training programs in Southern California.
Janine holds a BA in psychology and a MA in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of San Diego. She is a 2006 graduate of the Executive Program for Philanthropy Leaders at Stanford University. Janine has also received her national certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership by the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. Along with her alumni activities, Janine sits on the Board of Directors of San Diego Grantmakers, serving as the Chair from 1993-1996. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the University of San Diego’s Institute for Nonprofit Education and Leadership. Among other commitments, she has served on the board of the San Diego Blood Bank Foundation, Harmonium, The Children’s Initiative, the National Society of Fund Raising Executives, and the BIA Cares Foundation. Janine is a past Advisory Committee Member for Eureka Communities, San Diego City Schools Partners in Education Program and the United Way Government Relations Committee.
Janine is a 1992 graduate of LEAD San Diego. In 1995 she was recognized with the LEAD Alumni of the Year Award for her work on the San Diego Children’s Initiative. She was selected for inclusion in Who’s Who in the West 1998-99 and Who’s Who in America 2000 edition. Janine is a frequent conference presenter and guest lecturer at the University of San Diego and University of California San Diego.
Marcos Ramirez, Program Officer (Contact Marcos)
Marcos Ramirez is the Program Officer for The Fieldstone Foundation. Marcos coordinates the Foundation’s grantmaking process, leadership development training programs, and philanthropic initiatives in Orange County, California. He also coordinates Fieldstone’s Leadership Network expansion efforts.
Before joining The Fieldstone Foundation, Marcos worked as a Business Consultant and Independent Strategy and Leadership Development Consultant for corporations, nonprofits and faith-based organizations. He also worked as a Community Organizer with the Orange County Congregation Community Organization. Marcos has conducted a number of leadership and community development trainings and has been a guest speaker at local, regional and national conferences and workshops. He is a faculty member at the Institute for Pastoral Ministry and at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Extended Education.
Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Marcos came to the United States as a Galileo Scholar. A graduate of Pitzer College (The Claremont Colleges) and the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at the Claremont Graduate University, Marcos holds a B.A. in Economics, and an MBA with a specialization in Strategy and Leadership. Marcos was selected as part of the 2008 Latino OC 100. He has served on several governing and advisory boards, including the Santa Ana Empowerment Zone, Oakview Renewal Partnership, Southern California Grantmakers, Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management, Kidworks and One OC. Marcos currently serves on the Board of Human Options and is a member of the OC Community Relations Council, OC Funders Roundtable, Southern California Grantmakers, and the Funders Roundtable for Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
Robin Stropko, Administrator and Executive Assistant (Contact Robin)
Robin Stropko is the Administrator and Executive Assistant for The Fieldstone Foundation. In her role, Robin manages the internal grants process and provides program administration for the Leadership Network. Robin also coordinates Foundation communications, events and office management.
A graduate of Golden West College and a certified MicroEdge GIFTS administrator, Robin has been involved in managing Fieldstone’s Art Collection, including tours and education on the collection’s history. She has also been a volunteer in the public school system, serving as classroom volunteer and on the PTA board for nine years.
